3697677 - Error "Enter country/region information for item in the central RFQ" when creating RFQ output

• An error occurs while creating RFQ in SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud.
• Error message: "Error sending message EDI_MMPUR_RFQS4REQUEST_OUT_SPRX for REQUEST_FOR_QUOTATION "number" EXTERNAL_REQUEST."
• Error message: "Enter country/region information for item in the central RFQ."

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Navigate to "Manage RFQ."
2. Create a new RFQ.
3. Observe the error messages in the Message Dashboard.

The error occurs because the Postal Address of the Plant (or the Storage Location used in the item) is incomplete. The outbound EDI message requires a valid Country/Region and City in the Ship-To address to pass XML validation. Even if the Plant is defined, the underlying address record in the configuration might be missing the City or Country field.

1. Access the configuration activity Define Plant (ID: 100066).

2. Select the relevant Plant.

3. Click the Address button in the toolbar (do not rely on the preview fields in the main screen).

4. In the popup window, ensure the following fields are maintained:

   • Country/Region

   • City (Mandatory for EDI validation)

   • Postal Code

5. Save the configuration.
