Symptom
- After upgrading to a newer SAP S/4HANA release, customers may observe that amounts posted via Distribution (KSV5) are no longer recognized as sender values in Periodic Reposting (KSW5).
- As a result, when running KSW5 with sender objects/cost elements that previously worked, the system does not pick up the distributed amounts from KSV5, and no reposting is performed for those amounts.
- This issue is typically noticed during period-end closing when allocation and reposting steps are executed sequentially (KSV5 → KSW5).
