3697846 - Dimension name is showing _ when exporting model data to file

Symptom

  • Dimension name is showing _ when exporting model data to file if the dimension description is double byte characters like Chinese or Japanese.

Environment

  • SAP Analytics Cloud Enterprise 2025.28

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Modify the model dimension description to use double byte characters like Chinese or Japanese.
  2. Navigate to Data Management → Export Jobs → Export Data → Export Model As File → Create New Schedule.
  3. In the Export Model As File popup, click Select Data.
  4. Observe that the Dimension Name column displays underscores (_) instead of the correct value as defined in dimension description
