3697905 - Background elements are available in Legacy Configure People Profile but not available in Latest Configure People Profile

Predefined Background Elements that are available in Legacy Configure People Profile are not visible or configurable in the Latest Configure People Profile. 

• SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Profile

1. Log in to the SAP SuccessFactors instance.

2. Navigate to Admin Center -> Configure latest People Profile.

3. Attempt to add a card for a predefined Background Element that exists in the Succession Data Model.

4. Observe that the predefined Background Element is not available for selection.

• This is expected system behavior for the Latest people profile.
• In the Latest Configure People Profile, only custom Background Elements are supported. Predefined Background Elements defined in the Succession Data Model are not supported for configuration or display in the Latest People Profile.

1. The Latest Configure People Profile supports only custom Background Elements. To continue using data from a predefined Background Element, customers must recreate it as a custom Background Element.
2. Create a custom Background Element using Manage Business Configuration.
3. Add all fields to the custom Background Element so that the data field and values exactly match those of the predefined Background Element. 
4. In Configure Latest People Profile, add a new card to the required category, select Object Type as Custom Background Element and select the newly created Background Element.
5. Use Admin Center -> Export Extended User Information to export the data of the predefined Background Element. 
6. Import the data into the custom Background Element.
