Username field:

• You can enter a unique user name for new employees during the hire process. This value is also displayed on the Username field on the Talent Profile page.
• If this field has visibility=”both”, but no value is entered during the new hire process, the system copies over the value from the Person Id field.
• This is also the standard behavior if userAccountInfo is not contained in the Succession Data Model.

 Step 1:

1. Go to Manage Business Configuration->userAccountInfo
2. User-name
3. Enabled: Yes
4.  Mandatory : Yes

 Step 2:

1. Manage Business Configuration > Employee Profile > Standard > field = username
2. Take Action > Make Correction >  Mandatory field = YES 
3. save

Step 1 and Step 2 must be Mandatory field = YES  ( dependency field)

Note: It is essential that both Step 1 and Step 2 have the Mandatory field set to YES, as this is a dependency field.
