• State/province tax forms are triggered for candidates based on different criteria for USA and Canada.
• For USA candidates, both work location state and home address state tax forms are triggered.
• For Canada candidates, only work location province tax forms are triggered.
• A business requirement is to trigger only home address state tax forms for USA candidates without affecting the current configuration for Canada.

SAP SuccessFactors 

1. Configure FieldMetaDataOverride in Manage Data to trigger tax forms for both work location and home address for USA candidates and work location for Canada candidates.
2. Create a test candidate for USA with work location state as California and home address state as Arkansas. Observe that two state tax forms are triggered.
3. Create a test candidate for Canada with work location province as Newfoundland and Labrador and home address province as Ontario. Observe that only the work location province tax form is triggered.

• The standard state compliance configuration for SAP SuccessFactors assigns compliance forms differently for USA and Canada.
• For USA, compliance forms are assigned based on both home state and work location state.
• For Canada, compliance forms are determined only by the work location province.

1. Identify the business requirement to trigger only home address state tax forms for USA candidates while maintaining the current configuration for Canada.
2. Create a custom field (e.g., custom-string21) in Job Information to store the work location for Canadian candidates.
3. Map this custom field to the work state using FieldMetaOverrideConfig in Manage Data.
4. Update the configuration to ensure that:

• For USA candidates, compliance forms are triggered based on home address state only.
• For Canada candidates, compliance forms are triggered based on work location province only.

1. Validate the configuration changes using test candidates for both USA and Canada to ensure the desired behavior is achieved.
