Traces show frequent failed authentication attempts to the target REST service.

  • Despite warnings, messages are processing successfully (no channel failures), but logs accumulate with failed logon events.
  • There can also be an issue where you see that the message gets processed in PI, but the server sees two entries one is 401 and then a 200-status message. A detailed HTTP Client trace shows two request calls going to the server.
