3698745 - Dependents sync issues between profile and enrollment process - Employee Central

• Dependents are not syncing between the profile and the enrollment section in the Benefits module.
• Dependents listed in the dependent section of Employee Central are not appearing in the enrollment window.
• Duplicate dependent records are observed in the benefit employee profile.

1. Navigate to the profile of the user.
2. Access the Benefit section and select "Manage Your Open Enrollment Benefits".
3. Observe that no dependents are available in the enrollment window.
4. Check the "benefit employee profile" and observe duplicate dependents.

The issue is caused by certain inconsistencies in the updates to dependent details, resulting in duplicate records and sync failures.

Engineering team have identified certain issues with the updates to the dependent details and are currently working on a story https://jira.tools.sap/browse/BEN-21032 that address the same. Details of when the fixes will be released can be tracked in it. 

In the meantime, we can ask customer to perform the following steps as workaround:

1. Delete the profiles of users experiencing issues with dependent data
2. Run the sync job only for the affected user IDs. When following this guide page Syncing Employee Central Dependents Data For The Latest Benefits Enrollment Experience to create the job, instead of legal entity, add the employee ID. 

Or 

1. Navigate to the enrollment page and select "Review family members"
2. Click on "Manage" and update any field
3. Save the changes, and the dependents should correctly appear on the enrollment page
