3698914 - order BOM import fails for numeric-only material codes - SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

  • When importing the order BOM via data migration, if the material code consists solely of numbers, it cannot be imported.
  • Error message encountered: "E:m3:305 6010023242".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition 2508

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Attempt to import an order BOM using a migration object "Order BOM".
  2. Use a material code consisting solely of numeric characters (e.g., 6010023242).
  3. Perform the simulation step during migration.
  4. Observe the error message "E:m3:305 6010023242".

Cause

It is know issue.

Resolution

The issue will be fixed with one of our upcoming correction cycles 2602.1
