3699022 - Layout information is not available in user exit EXIT_SAPLKAEP_001 for CJI3N

Symptom

  • CJI3N selects database fields dynamically based on the selected layout.
  • Only fields included in the layout are read from the database, which improves performance.
  • However, in user exit EXIT_SAPLKAEP_001, the layout information is not available.
  • As a result, it is not possible to apply the same logic in the user exit to restrict database selection based on the layout.
  • This causes unnecessary data selection, especially in systems with many custom fields, leading to performance concerns.
