You have an Opportunity Follow-Up Integration Scenario in place.
When a Sales Quote is created in SAP S/4HANA, the external Sales Quote ID appears in the Document Flow of the Opportunity in SAP Sales Cloud Version 2.
However, since the Sales Quote is managed in S/4HANA, you want to view the S/4HANA printout (PDF) of what was sent to the customer.
The Print Preview option does not appear.
Environment
- Sales and Service Cloud Version 2
- ERP
- S4Hana
Cause
The PDF preview feature is available for:
- Sales Quote follow-up cards
- Sales Order follow-up cards
in Opportunity and Quote Documents.
If the preview is missing, the integration for fetching the PDF from S/4HANA is not deployed.
Resolution
To enable PDF preview for S/4HANA Sales Quotes:
- Deploy the integration flow:
Retrieve Follow-up Sales Document PDF from S/4HANA in SAP Cloud Integration.
This iFlow retrieves the PDF from S/4HANA and makes it available in the Sales Cloud UI.
Please note, there is no option of PDF Icon or PDF Output Print Preview in the Document Flow of external documents, this feature isn't yet available since it is a different functionality.

If you need PDF previews for non-Sales Cloud Version 2 objects in the Document Flow (e.g., Outbound Delivery, Invoice):
- This feature is not supported in Document Flow.
- As an alternative:
- Configure External Links for each object.
- This allows users to navigate to the source system for additional details or access the PDF via an externalized link.
