3699139 - Microsoft Teams Adapter: 403 Forbidden "SetThreadPropertiesS2SRequest" when posting to Channel using Client Credentials

Symptom

  • You are using the Microsoft Teams Receiver Adapter in SAP Cloud Integration (CPI) to post messages to a Teams Channel.

  • The authentication method in the adapter is configured as OAuth2 Client Credentials (Application Permissions).

  • The message processing fails with a 403 Forbidden error.

  • The detailed error message in the MPL logs contains the following string:

org.apache.camel.CamelException: {"error":{"code":"Forbidden","message":"ServiceException: Channel Properties Update failed for Channel ThreadId: ... Exception: Failed to execute Skype backend request SetThreadPropertiesS2SRequest."
