Symptom
A table conversion fails in STEP-2 when renaming the original table to QCM<table_name>. The error occurs when renaming indexes that are not defined in the ABAP Dictionary. In this scenario, the rename operation can fail with "SQL error 289: duplicate index name". For example:
RENAME INDEX "SAPHANADB"."esh:ftx~saphanadb~prps~post1~001" TO "QCMPRPS~001"
RENAME INDEX "SAPHANADB"."esh:ftx~saphanadb~prps~posid~001" TO "QCMPRPS~001"
SQL Exception with SQL code 289:
cannot use duplicate index name: QCMPRPS~001 or constraint name: QCMPRPS~001
Remark: Table PRPS was only used as an example in the above scenario. This error can occur for different standard tables.
