3699382 - SAP Service and Asset Manager - Error Activating OData Service /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT_XXXX – /IWFND/MED024 Metadata Not Loaded

Symptom

When activating the OData service /MERP/SAP_ONLINE_LOOKUP_EXT_XXXX in SAP Gateway (transaction /IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE), the activation fails with the following error:

"Metadata not loaded – See /IWBEP/ERROR_LOG in backend 'LOCAL'
Property 'LastSyncTimestampFromDevice' of data object 'ModifiedEntity'
has no internal type assigned.

Message No. /IWFND/MED024"
