3699516 - SAP_WORKFLOW_DEADLINE job failing due to "name or password is incorrect" error

Symptom

  • SAP_WORKFLOW_DEADLINE job (program RSWWDHEX) is producing "SWF_RUN_SERVICES 8 Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)" errors in the application log (SLG1).
  • There is a destination in SM59 named WORKFLOW_LOCAL_DEADLINE_<client#>.
  • Only the SAP_WORKFLOW_DEADLINE job (RSWWDHEX) is affected; other workflow jobs are running successfully.
