3699527 - Profit center discrepancy between sales order and purchase order in SAP S/4HANA Cloud public edition

Profit center has different values in sales order and purchase order.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a purchase requisition with reference to a sales order.
2. Create purchaser order with reference to this purchase requisition.

1. On purchase order item level two profit centers are determined:

   1. MM Profit Center: The Profit Center on item level is determined based on the material master Profit Center.

   2. CO Profit Center: The Profit Center on account assignment level is determined in controlling based on the CO-object.

2. Impact of Changing Profit center after PO creation at:
   • Preceding document(Sales Order / Preq) Level:
     In general, when the purchase order is created with reference to a purchase requisition the program will take over all data (including the account assignment data) from the purchase requisition. If the PR was created based on the sales order. The account assignment data will be transferred by the sales order item to the PReq item.
     So, it is required to change the Profit Center and Profit Segment in the PO item manually.
