3699575 - Error KI235 when posting revenue cost element using Fast Entry in FB01

Symptom

When posting a FI document in transaction FB01, the system behaves differently depending on the entry mode:

  • Fast Entry: Error KI235 – “Account requires an account assignment relevant to cost accounting” is raised.
  • Line Item Entry: The document can be posted without a CO object, even though the same G/L account is used.
