3699644 - "Assign BTP Roles" Button Missing in Business User View After Enabling SAP Build Process Automation

Symptom

SAP Build Process Automation has been configured as per the Help Portal document  Provisioning of iRPA | SAP Help Portal. However, the "Assign BTP Roles" option is not visible in the system, although it is expected to be available.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Go to Application and User Management Work Center.
  2. Open the Business Users View.
  3. Select any business user.
  4. The "Assign BTP Roles" button is not displayed. 

Cause

A Change Project is created and the scoping question "Do you want to enable integration with SAP Build Process Automation (BPA)?" is enabled and merged back. 

Even though the Change Project status shows "Merged", the activity "Activate Solution Capabilities" remains in Open status, which prevents the "Assign BTP Roles" option from appearing in the UI.

Resolution

Ensure to complete the Activate Solution Capabilities activity in the change project following the below steps: 

  1. Go to Business Configuration Work Center.
  2. Go to Implementation Projects View.
  3. Select the relevant Change Project.
  4. Click Open Activity list
  5. Go to Go-Live tab
  6. Select and Complete "Activate Solution Capabilities" activity. 

Now in the Business User View, the "Assign BTP Roles" button will now be visible.
