Symptom

The text in the PP30 report is splitting into multiple columns when downloaded in an Excel file.

"Image/data in this KBA is from SAP internal systems, sample data, or demo systems. Any resemblance to real data is purely coincidental."

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the app Run Statutory Reports.
  2. Execute "Run Statutory Reports - AP Thailand" (Report Name: Thailand VAT Return - PP30).
  3. Download the CSV file for the output VAT report.

Cause

 The behavior of this Excel file. Excel's default delimiter format is a comma. Since the address data contains commas, the text is being split into multiple columns.

Resolution

For the workaround, use the "|" character as a separator instead of the default comma delimiter.
