Symptom
- The I-9 Section 2 E-Signature task is assigned to a Super Admin instead of the intended onboarding task participant.
- When you re-trigger the Section 2 task for the employer (onboarding task participant), the task is assigned to the correct participant. However, the task does not display the auto-populated information required for submission.
- Re-triggering the task multiple times can create multiple I-9 Section 2 records for the same candidate.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding
Reproducing the Issue
- Assign the I-9 Section 2 E-Signature task to an onboarding task participant.
- Re-trigger Section 2 for the employer (onboarding task participant).
- Verify that the Section 2 task is assigned to the onboarding task participant but does not contain auto-populated data.
- Re-trigger the task multiple times.
- Verify that multiple I-9 Section 2 records are created for the same candidate.
Cause
This issue occurs when the I-9 trigger was created for a contingent worker profile. In this scenario, the system creates a stale compliance process for the contingent worker instead of the onboardee.
