Symptom

In the Excel, some line items within the Thailand PP30 Input/Output Tax Report are split into two columns, which is inconvenient for customers.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Generate the Thailand PP30 Report in the Run Statutory Reports app.
  2. Download and open the Input/Output Tax Report file using Microsoft Excel.
  3. Observe that some line items are split into two columns due to the presence of commas in company names.

Cause

The format of the report is CSV, and it is opened in Microsoft Excel. The default delimiter used by Excel to split columns is the comma. In the report, some company names contain commas, which causes these line items to be split into two columns.

Resolution

  1. Open the CSV file using Notepad.
  2. Alternatively, select the "Equals Sign" as delimiter when loading the CSV file in Microsoft Excel.
