How to delete payment orders after payment medium creation

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

Go to "Manage Automatic Payments" app.
Select the payment run and click "Display Payment Order" button.
Select the payment orders and click "Delete" button.

Error: The payment order could not be deleted. Payment media have already been created for payment run.

Cause

The Fiori app Manage Automatic Payments prevents the deletion of payment orders if payment media have already been created.

This restriction helps avoid issues when importing the account statement, as payment orders are used to post documents.

Resolution

If deletion is required (e.g., if the bank rejects a payment) but there is no need to delete all payment media files, the option is using Display Payment Lists app to navigate to display and delete the payment order.
