Symptom

  • Cannot migrate Financial Statement Version to Global Hierarchy.
  • Error message: "G/L account & not used or not exist".

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Use the SSCUI 170006 - "Migrate Financial Statement Versions to Global Hierarchies" in SAP Central Business Configuration.
  2. Select the Financial Statement Version (FSVN)
  3. Select the Financial Statement Version that need to be migrated. 
  4. Attempt to migrate using the "Migrate" button.
  5. Encounter the error message: "G/L account & not used or not exist".

Cause

It is not possible to create Financial Statement Version in Global Hierarchy with G/L accounts marked as "Not Needed".

Resolution

  1. Adjust the Financial Statement Version by removing all G/L accounts marked as "Not Needed".
  2. Perform the migration again.
