Symptom
When creating a new planning proposal in the Supply Planning work center, the system crashes.

Reproducing the Issue
- Go to Supply Planning work center.
- Select new planning proposal under common task.
- Enter relevant Product ID, Planning Area ID, Quantity and set the Available Date in the future.
- Choose Release.
- System Crashes.
Cause
- Quantity splitting is not supported in the Supply Planning work center.
- The Availability Check Scope for the product in master data is set to "Stock and released receipts in horizon".
- With this setting, when the requested quantity exceeds the projected stock available at the shipping site, the system automatically performs a quantity split.
- Since quantity splitting is not supported, the system results in a system crashes during creation of proposal.
Resolution
Option 1: If quantity splitting is expected, create the planning proposal from the Supply Control work center.
- Go to Supply control work center.
- Select new planning proposal under common task.
- Enter relevant Product ID, Planning Area ID, Quantity and set the Available Date in the future.
- Choose Release.
Option 2: Change the Availability Check Scope for the product in master data to "Stock" or "Stock and released receipts".
- Go to Product Portfolio work center.
- Go to products view..
- Search and open the relevant Product ID
- Choose Edit and View All.
- Navigate to Availability Confirmation tab.
- Select the relevant planning area.
- Change the Availability Check Scope to "Stock" or "Stock and released receipts".
- Choose Save.
