3700672 - Unexpected server response: 414 URI too long error raised when trying to download data in "Manage Settlement Rules - Projects" app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Trying to download the data from APP ‘Manage Settlement Rules – Projects’ by specifying multiple projects, for example 200 projects in the selection parameter. Clicking the button ‘Download Excel Details’, choose ‘Start Download’, will raise "Unexpected server response: 414 URI Too Long" error.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Open the "Manage Settlement Rules - Projects" app in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.
2. Specify over 200 projects individually in the "Project" parameter.
3. Attempt to download settlement rules for the specified projects.
4. Observe the error message: "414 URI Too Long".

• The requested URL contains all project IDs, resulting in an excessively long URI. This behavior is expected when specifying a large number of projects individually in the filter.

1. Use the "Between" condition in the "Project" parameter to define a range of projects.
2. This approach shortens the requested URL and avoids the "414 URI Too Long" error.
3. If specifying individual projects is necessary, limit the number of entries in the filter to a maximum of 150, but again it depends on the length of the project.
