3700851 - Downloading the GSTR1 Report results in an error when the transactional data volume exceeds limits

Symptom

An error occurs when attempting to download both standard and customized GSTR1 reports for a month due to a large volume of transaction data. 

Error: The export process ran out of memory and was terminated. Please adjust your column or filter settings to select a smaller number of cells.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open 'GSTR1 report – GSTR1 Report' app
  2. Provide the vale in the parameter.
  3. Click on 'Export' button.

Resolution

A maximum of 1 million cells can be exported in a single operation; however, the actual number of records depends on the number and size of columns selected.

Additional points:

  • Adjust the column or filter settings to reduce the number of cells being exported.
  • Ensure the export does not exceed the maximum limit of 1 million cells at a time.
  • Consider segmenting the data into smaller batches for export to avoid memory issues.
