3700904 - "No adequate employment found because of skipped assignment" - MDI SuccessFactors

Symptom

While replicating data from SuccessFactors to S4 using MDI, the Business Scenario job fails with error "No adequate employment found because of skipped assignment".

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite
  • SAP Master Data Integration

Cause

There are 2 possible causes for this issue:

  1. Incorrect Filtering: While using MDI Business Scenarios, the integration only supports filtering by the Person ID External of the users. Any other filter might result on this error.
  2. Employee Termination Date vs Cutoff Date: Employee Termination date is greater than the Cutoff date.

Resolution

Find the resolution below for both scenarios:

  1. Incorrect Filtering: Every filter that is not by the Person ID External should be removed. If you wish to replicate employees for specific Companies or countries, and wish to use specific filters for that, please use the filters on the consumer (S4) side. For more information please refer to this KBA: 3706866 - How to replicate employees from specific Company/Legal Entity to S4 via MDI - SAP SuccessFactors
  2. Employee Termination Date vs Cutoff Date: Configure the parameter "Cutoff Date Exception Person ID", this way employees terminated after the Cutoff date will not fail to be replicated: Configuring the Integration Object | SAP Help Portal
