3700961 - Accessibility Issue: Screen Reader Fails to Announce Fields and Their Values - SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

Screen readers announce portlet names but fail to read individual field labels or their values within the portlets.

• SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

1. Navigate to the employee profile;
2. Open the Personal Data section;
3. Verify that the screen reader announces the portlet names but does not read the individual field labels or their values within the portlets.

For a screen reader to announce the label-value pairs in the fields, the system follows a different logic where is necessary to switch to Virtual PC Cursor (VPC) mode and then use the up/down arrow keys to navigate and have each value announced individually.

• Activate Virtual PC Cursor (VPC) mode in the screen reader. For JAWS, press Insert + Z twice (you should hear "Virtual PC Cursor on").
• Use the up/down arrow keys to navigate and have each field label and value announced individually.
• If the "View All" functionality is used, ensure Virtual PC Cursor mode is activated to allow the screen reader to read all fields and values.
