3701023 - "We're preparing your data and this may take a few minutes. Please try again later" when using Manage Language Tool

Symptom

On the latest Manage Language tool, the error message displayed: "we're preparing your data and this may take a few minutes. please try again later" when opening a custom translation.
Unable to upload or import custom translations in Manage Languages functionality.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HCM Core

Reproducing the Issue

Open Manage Languages.
Open Custom Translations.
Observe that the upload/import of custom translations is not possible.
Error message displayed: "we're preparing your data and this may take a few minutes. please try again later".

Cause

The issue occurred due to the need for a manual migration job to be triggered following the migration of the Manage Language tool after the 2H25 release.

Resolution

If this occurs to your instance in below scenarios , take the necessary action -

Issues in Production
- The error happens because the custom translation is created from provisioning , not admin center - this is a known issue and we would recommend that please do not use any actions in provisioning, we will deprecate the manage languages in provisioning in 1H 2026.
  - The solution for this, is delete the custom translation in provisioning, and re-create in admin center, then everything will be all set for locale usage.
Issues in Preview
- Please submit a ticket to LOD-SF-PLT-LAN and provide them this KBA as reference. Our internal Engineering team would need to be involved to check if the migration job would needed to be run manually.
