3701091 - E-Verify submission error: "first_name: Invalid value for "first_name", the character length must be smaller than or equal to 25." - Onboarding

When submitting an E-Verify, the submission fails with the following error message:

first_name: Invalid value for "first_name", the character length must be smaller than or equal to 25.

SAP SuccessFactors Onboarding

The error occurs due to a known E-Verify limitation, which does not accept first names longer than 25 characters.

To bypass the error, shorten the affected user’s first name to 25 characters or fewer.

Procedure:

1. Navigate to Admin Center > Manage Data.
2. Search:
   E-Verify Data: XXXXXXXXXXXX
3. Click Take Action > Make Correction.
4. Shorten the First Name of the affected user to 25 characters or fewer.
5. Save.
6. Submit the E-Verify case again.

This will allow the E-Verify case to be submitted successfully.
