3701120 - User visibility issue under additional or custom manager in SAP SuccessFactors Org Chart

Symptom

  • Users are unable to view a specific user under their additional manager or custom manager in the SAP SuccessFactors Org Chart. 
  • The user is visible only under their direct manager and matrix manager. 

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Suite

SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Assign an additional manager and a custom manager in the job relationship for a specific user.
  2. Navigate to the Org Chart to view the user under the assigned managers.
  3. Observe that the user is visible only under their direct manager and matrix manager.

Resolution

  • Users can only be viewed under their direct manager and matrix manager in the Org Chart. Additional and custom manager relationships are not displayed in the Org Chart by design.
  • To have a different system behavior, it would be possible to have an enhancement request created for it, where the SuccessFactors product management team can further review and assess the requested functionality to be considered in a future release.
