Symptom

Compensation Statement generation is failing for users when the EC fields value contains the "&" character.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Compensation

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Configure an EC string field with value "&"
  2. Add this field to statement template
  3. Navigate to Compensation Home.
  4. Go to Rewards Statements > Generate Statement.
  5. Generate a statement using the configured template
  6. Check the job in Monitor Jobs; the job fails
  7. Verify the error message in Provisioning > Monitor Jobs: "The entity name must immediately follow the '&' in the entity reference."

Cause

This is a Known Issue.
This issue occurs when EC fields value contains "&" character.

Resolution

The fix for this issue is planned to be deployed with the patch 2H 2025 P9. For patch timelines, please review SAP SuccessFactors Patches Knowledge Base

Workaround

1.From the Statement Template editor, remove the EC field.
2.Include custom field from worksheet.
