Symptom

Inability to add custom fields in the Purchase Order Header using the Adapt UI feature.

Error message displayed: "Error during execPromiseQueueSequentially processing occurred: Die folgende Änderung kann nicht übernommen werden: id_1767791933905_3802_addFields. Die Ursache liegt in den folgenden offenen Abhängigkeiten: id_1765373850013_1532_moveControls, id_1765373770325_1423_addFields, id_1765373850012_1530_moveControls, id_1765373770325_1421_addFields, id_1765373850011_1528_moveControls".

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Open the application where the custom field needs to be added.
  2. Click on the "Adapt UI" button.
  3. Attempt to add a custom field in the Purchase Order Header.
  4. Observe the error message: "Error during execPromiseQueueSequentially processing occurred: Die folgende Änderung kann nicht übernommen werden: id_1767791933905_3802_addFields. Die Ursache liegt in den folgenden offenen Abhängigkeiten: id_1765373850013_1532_moveControls, id_1765373770325_1423_addFields, id_1765373850012_1530_moveControls, id_1765373770325_1421_addFields, id_1765373850011_1528_moveControls".

Cause

Dependency inconsistencies within the Adapt UI function.

Resolution

  1. Open the application that requires UI adaptation.
  2. Click on the "Adapt UI" button.
  3. Navigate to the versions tab located on the right side of the SAP logo.
  4. Select the dropdown menu and click on "Original App".
  5. Activate and publish the changes.
  6. Save and exit the application.
  7. Reopen the application and click on "Adapt UI" again.
  8. Perform the necessary changes with the required custom fields.
  9. Complete the UI adaptation by saving the changes and publishing the new app version.
  10. If required, previous versions can be checked in the Adapt UI screen to review prior adaptations.
