3701415 - DIR short description initialized from first uploaded attachment (Manage Attachments App / Attachments Reuse UI V2 / API_CV_ATTACHMENT_SRV)

When an attachment is uploaded using the Manage Attachments App, the Attachments Reuse UI (V2) or the Attachment Service API (API_CV_ATTACHMENT_SRV), the newly created Document Info Record (DIR) has its short description set to the Business Application identifier in the format ObjectType:ObjectKey.

At DIR creation time, the DIR short description is initialized from the first uploaded attachment as follows:

• If the first attachment is a file, the DIR short description is set to the first 40 characters of the file name (file name is truncated to 40 characters).
• If the first attachment is a URL, the DIR short description is set to the first 40 characters of the URL description (truncated to 40 characters).

Notes

• The DIR short description is set only once at DIR creation and is not updated later even if the first attachment is deleted, renamed, or replaced.
• If the file name or URL description is shorter than 40 characters, the entire name/description is used.
• Multiple attachments: only the first uploaded attachment is considered for initializing the DIR short description.
