3701501 - Learning Plan data isn't copied over upon merging two users

Symptom

Target merge user is missing Learning Plan data from the Source user.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Learning

Cause

User inactivated prior the Merge process resulted in the removal of the Learning Plan.

Resolution

When an user is deactivated via connector (either User or SF User), there's a setting to clean up the user's Learning Plan.

user.connector.inactiveRule.cleanDevPlan=Y
sfuser.connector.inactiveRule.cleanDevPlan=Y

In case this setting value is "Y", users' Learning Plan is entirely removed. There's no way to revert this change manually.

As an alternative solution, customers can run the standard report User Learning Plan Audit report to view what were to Courses and Programs removed. Curriculums may appear in this report, but ideally the following data base table should be consumed to have all curriculums that were removed as well: PH_STUD_QUAL

Customers can create a custom report to have this data in case the Merge process is consistently used. SAP Support may assist to provide this data in case merge is not often used.
