3701505 - Replying to a Lead email sent (outbound) from Service Cloud V2, shows as Invalid Channel in the Email Inbound Monitor

Symptom

  • When attempting to manage email communications within SAP Service Cloud V2, you encounter the following behavior:
    • An email channel has been configured for a General object with both inbound and outbound directions enabled.
    • Users can successfully send outbound emails from a Lead (or other specific objects).
    • When the recipient replies to that email, the message fails to appear in the system.
    • In Settings -> Email -> Inbound Monitoring, the email is logged with the error: "Invalid Channel."
