3701560 - Product creation through ProductsIntegration API missing product message condition and message fields

Symptom

When creating a product through ProductsIntegration API, Product Message Condition and Message are missing from the UI. 

Environment

SAP SALES CLOUD CPQ.

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Use the Product Integration API to create a product with a product message
  2. Open the product in the CPQ
  3. Navigate to the Product Messages tab
  4. Observe that the Condition and Message fields are empty
  5. Edit the product message and verify that the Condition and Message fields remain empty
  6. Check the UI API response and confirm that the values for Condition and Message fields are missing
  7. Perform a GET Request and verify that values are present.

Cause

Bug.

Resolution

  • Root Cause: Bug in application
  • Tentative Fix Date: CPQ-2602
  • Workaround: Perform get request to retrieve the product message.
