3702150 - SAP HANA System Copy / Redirected Restore: Target system backup catalog entries created before the restore are no longer visible

Symptom

  • After restoring an SAP HANA system using a backup from another system (system copy / redirected restore), backup catalog entries that were created before the restore on the target system are missing.
  • Only backup catalog entries originating from the source system are visible in SAP HANA Studio or SAP HANA Cockpit.
  • Customers assume that previously taken backups of the target system (for example non-production) are lost.
  • This situation frequently blocks rollback or recovery plans after a system refresh.
