3702168 - Including Non-Stock Items (NLAG) in Delivery and Executing PGI in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

• Users are unsure whether non-stock items (NLAG) can be included in the delivery/shipping schedule and whether the Post Goods Issue (PGI) can be executed within the standard SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition functionality.
• There is confusion regarding why goods issue schedule jobs, based on VL06O, do not pick NLAG delivery items with non-stock material types.

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

1. Create a sales order using Sales Document Type "OR" with Non-Stock Items (NLAG).
2. Schedule job for goods issue for the outbound deliveries with NLAG material types using APP VL06O. However, the outbound delivery is not getting selected.
3. Verify that the billing document can be created without PGI.

It is possible to include non-stock items (NLAG) in the delivery/shipping schedule and execute PGI within the standard SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition:

• In a standard sales order, item category CX is determined, which is delivery relevant.
• In a subsequent delivery, the item is not relevant for Picking or Goods Movement.
• "Goods Issue " can still be performed, but it only creates a placeholder service document (confirmation of service) 
• Goods issue schedule jobs (based on VL06O) do not pick the NLAG delivery items with non-stock material types because these items are not relevant for goods movement, and therefore, are not stored in the index table used for goods issue posting. Posting goods issue works from the apps "Change Outbound Delivery" because they are operating on deliveries selected manually (instead of using an index table).
• Billing is delivery-based (as configured in item category CNLA), but it is not dependent on Gl. Billing block can be used to control billing timing in such cases.
