3702212 - Batch determination does not work for Movement Type 453

When you click the "Batch Determination" button in the material line, the system shows the error message no. LB056: "Stock determination/batch determination not possible.".

1. Go to Post Goods Movement app.
2. Choose A08 Transfer Posting and movement type 453
3. Filled in the relevant information.
4. Click the Stock/Batch determination button in material line or in the DEST table.

Movement type 453 is Transfer Posting Reversal, which is used to reverse stock transfers between plants or storage locations.

Stock or batch determination is generally only intended for goods issues, as according to standard logic it is not appropriate to determine batches for goods receipt. Therefore, when clicking the batch determination button, the system will consider it impossible to perform batch determination for the DEST, resulting in the error message no. LB056: "Stock determination/batch determination not possible."

If batch determination is required, it should be performed on the "FROM" data in the detail data section. In order to perform batch determination in "FROM," the checking rule needs to be updated/maintained at the Material Master, Transaction code level, or Movement type level. This way, the batch will be picked if stock exists in the "FROM" section.
