3702230 - How the requirement type and requirement class configuration can checked from customer side in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Symptom

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition system, there is no configuration activity released for the customer to change the requirement type and requirement class relevant settings. However, there is still a workaround for the customer to check such configuration.

This article will show how to achieve this.

Environment

SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

Resolution

  1. Open a sales order in Display Sales Orders app.
  2. Go to the "Procurement" tab.
  3. Click on the "Requirement Type (RqTy)" field of the sales order item.
  4. Open the F1 Help of the field.
  5. Click the "Customizing" button on the screen.
  6. Click on "Continue w/o Specifying Project" button in the popup screen.
  7. Select IMG activity "Configure Requirement Types" and click on "Continue".
  8. Enter activity "Configure Requirement Types", the relationship between requirement type and requirement class can be checked.
  9. Enter activity "Configure Requirement Classes", the settings of each requirement class can be checked.
