3702424 - Product created by API throws error on opening configuration in the catalog

Symptom

When creating an Alias Configurable product through API, the product cannot be opened in the catalog due to the error: 'Product xxx does not have attribute 0'. - Error message is displayed multiple times when attempting to open the created product in the catalog.

Environment

SAP CPQ

Reproducing the Issue

  1.  Create a product through API using Postman:
  2.  Send request for Product creation. 
  3.  Request Method: POST. API URL: api/product/v1/Products/.
  4. Update visibility permissions of the created product to Visible to Everyone
  5. Navigate to the catalog and attempt to open the created product. - Error message 'Product xxx does not have attribute 0 is displayed multiple times.

Cause

This is a Bug 

Resolution

  • Eta 2602 release
  • Workaroundcreating alias with Product integration REST api, go to that alias from UI, open any attribute that it has and save it (it is enough to only do it on one attribute).
