Symptom

  • CI-DS agent is down
  • CI-DS agent does not connect to Cloud
  • Agent is "red"
  • Datastore connection test fails with error "Cannot perform the operation. Agent "[Agent Name]" might be down."
  • DSOnPremiseAgent log error:
    • SEVERE: Recieved Exception while registering with Server : sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
      javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
  • IBP job fails with error from application logs: "No active agent is available in agent group"
