Symptom
- Using the MS Teams SuccessFactors app, holidays can be synced to employees' calendars.
- When syncing a half-day holiday, it is represented as an all-day event in Outlook due to the lack of time-of-day information in SuccessFactors.
- This behavior is consistent with how half-day holidays are represented within the SuccessFactors web application.
- There is no standard configuration to sync half-day holidays as partial-day events in external calendars.
Environment
SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central
Reproducing the Issue
- Use the MS Teams SuccessFactors app to sync holidays to employees' calendars.
- Sync a half-day holiday.
- Observe that the half-day holiday is represented as an all-day event in Outlook.
Cause
Half-day holidays are stored only as numerical values in SuccessFactors, without any time-of-day information. This results in half-day holidays being synced as all-day events in external calendars.
Resolution
- At this time, there is no standard configuration option to sync half-day holidays as partial-day events in external calendars.
