3702568 - Fiori launchpad tiles not loading after upgrade to a later versions of S/4HANA such as 2023

Symptom

  • After upgrading to S/4HANA 2023 or a newer version of S/4 HANA, Fiori Launchpad tiles are not loading.
  • Error messages observed include "Cannot load tile" and "Call to success handler failed: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'getId')".
  • Console logs show errors such as "failed to load 'sap/ushell/components/.../applauncher/Component.js' from /sap/public/bc/ui5_ui5/...: 404".
  • System is loading older version of SAPUI5 code (example" version 1.71.76) instead of the updated version 1.120.30.
