3702683 - Position Title change is not syncing to Job Information

Symptom

"Position title" is the label of externalName in Position Object, it is a translatable field. The translation for the position title was updated in Manage Position, but it didn't create a corresponding record in the incumbent's job information for syncing.

Environment

SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central

  • Position Management

Cause

Position Title field is not listed in the Position to Job Information sync rule

Resolution

  1. Create a custom-string field in Manage Business Configuration<JobInfo, label it as "Position Title"
  2. Grant permission to view this field.
  3. Go to Position Management Settings<Synchronization tab
  4. Click to open the business rule configured in "Rule for Synchronizing Position to Job Information"
  5. Correct the rule to add one more set
    • Set Job Information.Position Title to be equal to Job Information.Position Title. English(United Kingdom)

In this case, when the UK translation of a position title is updated either in Manage Positions or in the Position Org Chart edit mode, a job information record will be created in the incumbent's job information for syncing purposes.
