3702857 - Attributes are automatically selected for time dimensions in restricted measures in SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

• When defining a restricted measure with time dimension and constant selection, some attributes are automatically added to the selection and cannot be removed or modified.
  
• In case of a Time hierarchy, all the hierarchical levels are automatically selected.

SAP Analytics Cloud

1. Logon to SAC.
2. Define a Restricted Measure using Time dimension with constant selection. 
3. Notice that in case of a Time hierarchy, all the levels are automatically selected.

This is a by-design behavior.

• Time hierarchy dimension selections automatically include all hierarchy level attributes (for example: year, quarter, month, and so on)
  
• The SAC Story/Firefly logic uses the level hierarchy information and automatically adds any attributes which are levels in any of the time hierarchies (e.g. YQM, YM, YHQMD, YWD, …). This is done because time range filters use the level attribute to define the range selection in the query rather than the hierarchical key so the corresponding level attribute needs to me added to the “Constant Dimensions” list.
