3702961 - Update statistics fails with error 1759 - SAP ASE for Business Suite

• Update statistics job for a table fails in DBA cockpit.
  
  
• From ATM logs:
   
      Server message:
      Command 'UPDATE STATISTICS' number of step values requested '0' must be greater than or equal to '3' values.
      Server 'xxx', Line 1:
      Msg 1759, Level 16, State 1:
      Update statistics of tablename failed
  
  
• DBACOCKPIT > Diagnostics > ATM History (update statistics of failed tablename shows the below:)

             Maintenance Triggering ATM Profile: Monitoring Tables (SAP Default)
             update index statistics tablename using 0 values with partial_hashing

• So, re-executing the above command also fails:
  
       update index statistics tablename using 0 values with partial_hashing
       go
