3703068 - Workflow for ending benefits not created after Employee Termination

Symptom

  • Employee was terminated  but the workflow for ending benefits was not created, resulting in benefits not ended.

Environment

  • SAP SuccessFactors HXM Core - Global Benefits

Reproducing the Issue

  1. Terminate an employee in the system.
  2. Observe that the workflow for ending benefits is not created.
  3. Verify if Benefits still active.

Cause

The event reason for Termination is not included in the list of the onPostSave Rule set within Job Information . As a result, it did not trigger the ISC process or automatically update the job to end the associated benefits.

Resolution

  1. Ensure that all the event reasons are selected in the rule that triggers the Intelligent Services Center (ISC) event for termination. Refer to: Configuring Intelligent Services Center (ISC) for Termination.
  2. Perform a dummy change to job information, such as adding a note to the record. This action should create the event and perform all the termination actions on the benefits side.
