3703216 - SAP HANA system hang and connection timeouts without crash in a memory pressure / overload scenario

In productive SAP S/4HANA systems, users report that the system becomes unresponsive for several minutes.
Typical observations include:

• SAP GUI does not open or freezes
• Connection to the SAP HANA database cannot be established in time
• Short-term system “hang” without service crash or restart
• Application dumps such as DBSQL_CONNECTION_ERROR
• HANA trace messages like:
  • Broken pipe
  • Connect timeout expired
  • SSL exception during send/receive
  • reading failed with timeout

Indexserver and nameserver processes remain running.
Runtime dumps and automated analyzers do not indicate a service crash, restart, or a clear out-of-memory event during the affected period.
