Symptom
In productive SAP S/4HANA systems, users report that the system becomes unresponsive for several minutes.
Typical observations include:
- SAP GUI does not open or freezes
- Connection to HANA Studio or database cannot be established
- Short-term system “hang” without service crash or restart
- Application dumps such as
DBSQL_CONNECTION_ERROR - HANA trace messages like:
Broken pipeConnect timeout expiredSSL exception during send/receivereading failed with timeout
Indexserver and nameserver processes remain running.
Runtime dumps and automated analyzers do not report fatal issues such as OOM, crashes, deadlocks, or kernel panics.
